About Classic Suzuki Parts NL
Marcel Vlaandere
Owner of Classic Suzuki Parts NL
Hello, I am Marcel Vlaandere, owner of Classic Suzuki Parts NL. My business grew years ago out of my love for the Suzuki two-strokes. From the day I turned eighteen (7-1-1982) I rode them and preferred this series over anything else on the market. After a GT 250, T500 and GT 750 I tried other two-wheelers for a while, but like many others I came back to my old love after all those years: the GT 750. Today I still own a beautiful 1969 TS250, an RV50, a GT185 and a TS50ER.
In 1994 I returned to Bolsward in Friesland for a different job. An old friend from my youth there had a barn full of T and GT parts. He was keen to hand that stock over to me, as his interest had since shifted to a completely different kind of motorcycle. The collection was so large that, after setting aside a private stash for myself, I really had to start advertising it.
As a result, enthusiasts from all over the country came to my door. Again and again I was asked why there was no T and GT club in the Netherlands. Given my extensive parts stock and my contacts, many felt I was the right person to start one.
In 1997, as an experiment, I organised the first meet. I would have been happy with fifty people; a hundred and ten turned up! Following that success I founded the T and GT Enthusiasts Group, which in October 1999 became a real club with around 250 members at the time.
In April 1999 I took the big step myself and officially registered as a trading business. Turning your work into your hobby (because that is still how it feels), who would not want that? Three years later it became more than welcome to bring my wife into the business, because we were growing faster than expected. To this day she more than holds her own, and together we have built a fine company. I still get just as excited about beautiful motorcycles and parts, even after more than 30 years now. So far so good!
There, I hope you now have a bit of a picture of me and how my business came to be: Classic Suzuki Parts NL. Hopefully we will meet and talk in person one day.
Regards, Marcel Vlaandere.

Especially for enthusiasts: listen to the sound of the GT750. Just for fun.
